Taking a little time off to play...with children
If there is one thing that can steal me away from the studio it is when my grandchildren come for a visit.
This week my daughter and her family arrived for a visit and I could not wait to see the faces of those two boys! They are now 2 years and 9 mos. and 5 mos. old and just delightful. The oldest knows us through SKYPE and recognized us right away. We hadn't see the baby since he was born in February, so we have the delicious task of finally getting to know him.
Remember to take time to indulge in a few innocent pleasures this summer. Have a glass of your favorite summer beverage and enjoy each moment! Happy PPF.

What beautiful layers - I'm intrigued as to how this painting evolved!! Awesome that you got to spend time with the little ones!! My 2 year old niece visited me this past week and it was so much fun to see life through her eyes!

Love this painting!!! The colors are fantastic!! I know what you mean about the grandkids. Mine live 2 blocks away so they are here all the time. I am very lucky!!! They are the joy of my life!!

How very true. It seems time has flown since my two were little ones....Wish I could have a time travel machine and see them little again.

Isn't Skype wonderful? My grandson was also born in Feb. Can't wait to see him next week! Your art is fab. Saw you teaching through Rice's video at AU!
