Transitions
I spent an engaging few days at Art Unraveled in Phoenix where I taught 6 fun classes to a fun group of mixed media artists. There was an interesting discussion at some point about what exactly "mixed-media" was! I hope to explore that with you in the coming weeks. I'm sharing a piece I made that was the "demo" under construction in a class I taught. I hope you enjoy it.
One last thing about transitions, it doesn't matter how young or old you may be, learning to adapt and adjust is and important skill. I will be adjusting to seeing both my daughters off this week. One to return home to Cleveland with her family after a lovely visit, the other off to Seattle for a new job and life adventure. I will have to adapt...big time! I know my "studio time" will reflect the changes as well.
BTW, Julie and I just launched a new class on The Land of Lost Luggage called LAYER LOVE V.2. It is an amazing class and deals with a lot of color transitions! So if you have a need to work out some things consider joining us as we paint!

I love the piece, Chris! Sounds like you will be transitioning to an new place in life.....thank you for posting your heartfelt views.....
