It's quite cold here in Tuscany and sometimes days without sun...everything is so drab in color! I'm taking the Color class and super excited...thanks for offering your knowledge sharing with the community. I just love connecting with other creatives, such a happy warm and fuzzy feeling. I agree we have to all push to make art a regular part of our educational system. It's important also, I believe, to make sure and emphasize it as a tool for expression and learning and not a competition of who can draw the best - as usually so many are discouraged from art classes in school because they just aren't "good."

Comment on Enjoying the sunshine!

Chris- you hit the nail on the head...the problem solving aspect of our class is my favorite part...and to see so many "a ha!" moments...it really makes me happy. I know that whatever color / opacity level you work with, it's always going to be spectacular and moving. Grey is every bit as beautiful as cobalt ... Thank you for sharing. xo - Davielle

Comment on The Mighty "quins"...quinacridone pigments

Chris ~ This post was enormously helpful. I'll be signing up, for sure! It's lovely when you can get to San Diego to teach, but this will make it available ... all the time. Your garden sounds delightful - good for you, making those "line" changes. You'll love it all the more. Be well -- Davielle

Comment on Color takes over!

I love how you describe your garden...river rock sounds awesome!
